Another self-submission from our favorite British public slipper enthusiast.
“I have been regularly wearing these slippers to work for a while now, and chanced to take this photo during my lunch-break, when I went out for a walk in the park. The slippers, like my other pairs, are in a traditional old-fashioned style with twin elastic gussets, and these ones are made of soft velour fabric in a not-too-subtle tartan checked pattern. I paid £5 (just under $8) for them in a discount shoe shop, which is an absolute bargain! They are very comfortable, and I just love their feel and appearance. Once you’ve worn these, how could you ever want to go back to wearing shoes again?!?”
A self-submission from a reader across the pond. Thanks for reading, bloke.
“I am one who wears my slippers to work every day (I work in an office). I am male, late 40 years of age, from London, UK. I prefer the “traditional” type of slippers with elasticated gussets; I have even enclosed a photo of my current pair, which are made of soft black corduroy. They are very comfy, cheap, I like the look of them, and well, they are… different! I do get the odd bemused comment from time to time, but I don’t care really. As long as they are clean and in good condition, I’ll carry on wearing them; when they wear out I’ll buy a new pair.”
